About the Book
This book is a collection of photos snapped surreptitiously on the T (the Boston subway system) between June and September 2010. The pictures are collected and presented as they were found: without title or explanation.
A word on the process of taking these photos: As I don't want to hold the phone in people's faces and make them self-conscious, I tend to shoot pretty literally from the hip. So when one of the shots is really something special: a tiny piece of someone's day in miniature with a fully-unguarded expression and a whole story squeezed in the shot... well, it's kinda wonderful. It's the kind of thing they make movies about: stopping to smell the roses and whatnot. So these pictures are my little digital book of pressed flowers.
