Faces are important: too important. They make us forget that there is another half of us that people are just as likely to see.

I wanted to explore here the clues and mysteries intrinsic to the back of the head: that part of us which we never directly see, and to which we pay little attention.

How do we decode a headshot that omits the face? What do we look to for information when there is no expression to see? Clothing, hairstyle, posture and background take on new meaning.

You can't have a front without a back- so what does our back say about us?
