About the Book
78 striking portraits of people in black and white and color made from 1971 to 2008. Many of the photographs were created at public events and document an amazing diversity in the ways creative people present themselves. There are also images documenting the relationship between individuals and the world, all seen from Hair's unique perspective. Most images were made with a Hasselblad camera, and all were made on film, allowing for the greatest detail and sharpness. It is Hair's intention to create a quality record of people who may be outside the traditional, and have created lives that are extraordinary.
