About the Book
The three semi-fictional stories in "Planet Railroad" chronicle the year I spent working as a locomotive fireman for the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad in Pueblo and Minturn, Colorado. The book highlights both the experience of a woman working in an all-male environment as well as describing operations along a now-vanished line in the Colorado mountains.

About the Creator
Diane Rabson
Boulder, Colorado, USA
I have worked as a curator, archivist, and oral historian in Denver and Boulder, Colorado, since 1980. From 1978 to 1979, I was the first female locomotive fireman on the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad in Pueblo, Colorado. I have written a memoir about that time entitled "Planet Railroad," also available from Blurb. I am currently working on another book (untitled) about Denver in the late 1970s.
