About the Book
This project is about “What if!” moments, a moment you can do anything, be anyone or go anywhere, a moment when anything is possible, even what you might believe to be impossible.
What if Weekends was a 52 Week Photo Project, taking and publicly posting one photo every week for a year. With this project though, I took multiple photos and merged them together to create something that doesn’t exist! The rules were pretty straight forward, the realization, not so much! All photos had to be taken by myself, and all posts had to be an example of what I call photo illusionism, a term I use in my work to convey the idea that what I create, though based in the world of photography, is not completely real... Trompe-l’œil, French for ‘deceive the eye’. As with all 52 week projects, all photos are posted, so this book includes all 52 illusions plus some.
