About the Book
The author geographer/photographer has been living in Ixelles, a borough of Brussels since 1981. She has blended in, knows all corners and unusual places and when life gets a little too challenging she tends to go for a local walk with a camera or even escape out of Ixelles, but she always comes back close to the main square called Place Flagey. Recently she wandered with an Iphone and made a series of Instagrams reflecting her gaze and moods. "le and la d'ixelles" may refer to scenes, objects or their shadows (le or la) encountered but may also refer to her daughter (la) or herself (la) and their little escapes (le or la) from the 'crib' Ixelles.
