About the Book
The reality of travel is hidden beneath society and technology’s ability to manipulate the portrayal of architecture, to purposely mislead and deceive an oblivious audience. Combine this with the desire to travel and it becomes evident what fuelled my passion for my graduate project ‘Wanderlust’. The Wanderlust Collection consists of 24 images with eight sets; each set contains one similar yet contrasting image from Venice, Budapest and Prague. These images are presented in a set to allow the easy depiction of elements in common with one another. Each set provides one line of the narrative, so when viewed as a collection, a story of architecture in travel unfolds. The collection is presented in a magazine as the target audience familiarise themselves with travel brochures and holiday magazines, which therefore enhances the images as they are presented in their rightful environment.
