About the Book
This book is a modified version of Lecantoperis Mirabilis, which was a unique handmade artist book. In this book, you can read the full narrative and also see cropped and full images of the original.
Lecantoperis Mirabilis belongs to a trio of books that was originally made for a solo exhibition at Wave Hill’s Sunroom Porch in the Bronx, NY. Together, the three books should be imagined as versions of the Greek god Hermes as if he transfromed into air plants. The italicized text found throughout is taken from Homer’s Illiad and the Homeric Hymns. Page 3 shows you the Prologue which explains the context of this fantasy.
If you would like to see more images of the artist book, read about it, or view the artist’s other works, you can visit www.tammy-nguyen.com. If you would like to see the book in person, or correspond with the artist, you can reach her at tammyvonguyen@gmail.com.
