About the Book
What kind of "Adventures" can a park ranger have? How about....scary and comical encounters with bears, building a nature trail all by yourself, confronting a dangerous criminal who want to "kill you," possible encounters with ghosts, meeting a ram on a trail so close you could touch him, fighting an out-of-control wildfire, a law enforcement contact with an insane person. These and other "Adventures" happened to Colorado State Park Ranger Mark Isaacs, and are contained within the pages of this book. All park rangers have stories to tell. These are a few of his.

About the Creator
Born and raised in Iowa, and educated at the University of Iowa, Mark Isaacs first set foot in Colorado and the Rocky Mountains as a teenager on a brief trip in the 1970s, then later as a camp counselor west of Pikes Peak, before moving to the state to become a Colorado State Park Ranger. This book represents a love affair of sorts, with a state, the mountains, and a career as a park ranger.
