About the Ebook
The collection of images was made during one year (between 2016 and 2017) and the photos for the book were selected from a pool of around 4000 images.
The book represents a slice of graffiti history in one city. Most photos in the book represent illegal graffiti by unknown writers. There are few pieces left in Vilnius by legends of European graffiti underground (Kegr, 10foot) or some of the well-known street artists who worked in Vilnius (Os Gemeos, Millo).
This is not a book of quality street photography. It is more a book of urban archaeology.
Its aim was to document the ephemeral and chaotic life of street art. That’s why 99% of images in the book are smartphone photos, as this gadget is a much better tool to capture the dynamic life of graffiti than the professional camera.

About the Creator
Nice to meet you! I’m a writer, an artist and a professional of digital communication. I published around 400 articles on art, popular culture, cinema and politics, few of them ended up in different books on Lithuanian artists. I was an exhibition curator at Contemporary Art Centre in Vilnius and later moved to take different positions in advertising agencies. I live in Vilnius, Lithuania. GRAFFITI PROJECT The project of graffiti photography fits smoothly into the web of my interests and skills. I decided to self-publish a book after a year of collecting images of graffiti in Vilnius. The book is a mix of street art and street life photography. It is also a glimpse into parts of the city you don’t usually see in tourist books.
