ADOBE AND BLURB, INC. EXPAND BOOK CREATION AND PRINTING CAPABILITIES WITHIN LIGHTROOM CLASSIC CC

Driven by strong customer demand, newest Lightroom Classic update brings together the best of Blurb’s creative book publishing offerings to Adobe customers

San Francisco, Calif.— September 12, 2018 — Blurb, Inc., the leading global platform in creative book and magazine self-publishing, announced new improvements to the Blurb-powered Book Module available in Adobe Lightroom Classic CC v7.5.

This most recent update gives Lightroom users the opportunity to leverage the best of Blurb’s book-making tools to create and print bookstore-quality Trade Books, Premium Magazines, and our very popular Layflat Photo Books via the Book Module.

Launched in August, the new Lightroom Classic release includes a number of important improvements to the Book Module, including Layflat Photo Books, and additional Blurb formats such as Premium Magazines and Trade Books. Layflat Photo Books allow customers to seamlessly showcase their creativity across a two-page spread without losing any part of their image to the gutter, or center of the book. Premium Magazines are affordable, lighter-weight publications ideal for serial content or high-volume printing projects. Trade Books include three industry-standard trim sizes printed on uncoated paper, and their lower base price allows authors to reach a wider audience by selling at market-comparable prices.

“When we looked at what our customers were asking for, the demand for Blurb's Layflat Photo Books exceeded our expectations, so we are delighted to have this popular product now available to Lightroom Classic customers,” said Sharad Mangalick, Principal Product Manager at Adobe.
