I was 18 years old and at a party thrown by the man who controlled the birds at Toronto International Airport in Canada. He was also a hobby photographer. I sat and went through his pictures and all I could say to my husband (boyfriend back then) was "I want to do this", "I want to do this!" That Christmas, he gave me my first 35mm camera - A Canon T70 film camera. About 10 years ago, I went kicking and screaming into the digital foray. I believed it was too easy to change a picture and I wanted to keep my photography true. So, I set rules for myself...I could only make the types of adjustments they could make at the camera store when they printed my film pics for me. For the most part (just a little straying here and there for some fun) I've stuck to that rule. I haven't looked back. I've now been photographing for 37 years. I retired early this year and plan to give a lot more of my time to it. I thank my wonderful husband for starting me on this path I love so much!
