About

Gloria P. Humphrey, a poet and writer of children books, memoir and travel, has turned to playwright. It is no wonder since her grandmother, the late Gloria Ferguson Bentley, wrote, performed and directed stage plays. Her passion for poetry is intermingled in most of her writings and influenced by her study of the Bible, Maya Angelou, Robert Frost and Emily Dickinson. Growing up in an era that she claims was the best time to be a kid, came her conviction to become a writer. Working on a manuscript that eventually became a memoir project catapulted into her first visit to Italy, Rome. She was born in Hollywood, Florida.
