About the Book
We all have "off" days. Days where every little thing seems to annoy us, anger us, or make us want to cry. Sometimes we don't even know why. Well. It turns out we may have caught a case of The Crankies.
But how do we get rid of them?
This book is full of grounding exercises and emotional regulation tactics for kids (and anyone in a bad mood) that work in our household - where we catch The Crankies often.
I truly hope this book helps keep a bad mood from turning into a bad day.

I am a full time photographer and the mother of identical twin girls. Both of my kiddos (and myself) have been diagnosed with anxiety as well as PTSD and one has been diagnosed with ASD (autism spectrum disorder). Because of their anxiety, ASD, and PTSD we spent several years struggling with "The Crankies" at unexpected times (like randomly in the car or while playing on a playground) and because of those struggles we ended up in therapy weekly - which was immensely helpful. Some of our favorite techniques that we picked up in therapy to combat full blown meltdowns are included in this book as well as the things that have always worked for the twins.
