About the Creator
I'm born in 1968 in the district Oraefi in southeast Iceland, and I'm still living there, now with my wife Matthildur Thorsteinsdottir and our sons. Since 1991 we have offered travel service called From Coast To Mountains at the base of Vatnajokull, Europe's largest glacier. I'm the oldest (in working years) mountain guide of Iceland, but before I became mountain guide I had planned to become photographer. In later years I have been able to combine this into one. Around 2006 my company became the first tour company in Iceland to offer daily ice cave tours in winter, and since lot of our tours have been with serious photography in mind I have been able to continue my photography. See www.icecaving.is for ice cave tours in winter. Our main tours in summer are puffin tours to Ingólfshöfði and most weeks I do some serious photo tours to there also. See www.puffintour.is
