    About the Book

    Edit

Experience the vitality and history of Portugal's hilly capital, Lisbon, on the Tagus River, with its spectacular castles, elegant palaces, fine restaurants, storied monuments and many other sites, including a museum devoted to fanciful horse-drawn carriages of yesteryear (there's even a prisoner carriage) before visiting a surfing Mecca, ancient walled city, and a creative tile workshop. From Portugal, head to Seville, Spain, then take a ferry across the Strait of Gibraltar to see the sights of Morocco, through the Atlas Mountains, and to the edge of the Sahara Desert where there be camels, and then back to Spain to the Costa del Sol, Granada, Toledo, Don Quixote with his windmills, and finally Madrid.
