    About the Book

    Edit

This photo book explores my personal experience with phone addiction and how it takes over ones everyday life. Through a series of self-portraits, I document the way constant screen use becomes my priority, choosing it over my life and loved ones for another “five more minutes”. I capture repetitive actions and disconnected moments where my attention is consumed by my phone rather than the world around me.
As the narrative develops, I introduce a loss. It makes one wonder what would have happened earlier on if you had chosen not to miss the moments you did. This turning point reflects my transition from passive consumption to intentional presence. In the second half of the book, I move away from the phone and toward genuine experience, focusing on reconnecting with family, working through regret, and engagement with my surroundings.
This work is not meant to reject technology, but to question my relationship with it. I hope it encourages others to reflect on how often we exist behind a screen and what we miss because of that, and make them think about how our lives might change if we simply chose to look up.
