About the Creator
Arthur Purbrick first picked up a camera in 2002 after his parents noticed the particularly artistic representation of a marsh he had drawn in some mud; he has been pestering people through a lens ever since. Arthur Purbrick matriculated from Michaelhouse School, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa in 2005 and graduated from Exeter University in 2009 with a degree in Human Geography. He is now a serving Officer with the Queen's Royal Lancers in the British Army. His photography is that of a self-taught kind that disobeys all the rules from institutional practices and seeks to see the beauty in each glance of every day. He shoots with a Canon EOS 400. He hopes one day to be able to work for a reputable photographic agency who's aims are to broaden people's knowledge of the natural environment, and maybe even one day, he will capture an image that will change someone's life, like one did for him.
