About the Book
The ExFlexFitness Plan
I developed the ExFlexFitness Plan about ten years ago to put into words my philosophy about working out. I had been training clients in gyms throughout Seattle for over a decade, and had noticed over the years that most people were missing a key element of working out. People were simply going through the motions of their workout routines, believing they would get the results they sought. What they didn’t realize is that the key
element that held them back was contraction.
I’ve spent a lifetime studying the body, learning about not just fitness, but also anatomy and physiology. What I learned over many years is that contraction is universal in all areas of exercise, whether weightlifting, gymnastics, martial arts, running, basketball, golf, or any other sport or activity. Even when you sit at your desk, you can contract your muscles and get a workout. The thing that I teach my clients is to combine their exercise with flexing techniques, rather than simply going through the motions. They learn how to flex their muscles for better results and so will you.
