Dale Rollins

The Dalles, OR
About

Dale Rollins came to Christ under the ministry of evangelist, Major Ian Thomas, founder of The Torchbearers for Christ International in England. Thomas challenged him, "Don't be a dime-a-dozen Christian!" Rollins was anything but ordinary. He had grown up in logging camps of Oregon. Attended Judson Baptist College a couple years before qualifying for the U.S. Navy's Nuclear Power Program. He served two tours on the aircraft carrier USS Oriskany CVA-34 (same one John McCain was shot down from). Former Oregon Governor, Victor Atiyea invited him to perform at the State Capitol where the governor called him "Oregon's Songwriter". Rollins had composed songs about real people and places he missed back home. And he had done so while he served in combat zones of Vietnam with the U.S. Navy as an Electricians Mate. The The rest is history. He also wrote a Christian book about it all titled: Dreams and Visions: A personal journal of Christian layman; his lifetime walk with Christ.
