In younger years, I entirely believed that 'author' would be the longest-lasting and most nurtured career of my life. While investing in other pursuits, I drifted away from writing over time. The "Why did you stop writing?!" voice and a desire to still access the fulfilment I derived from writing eventually turned me to poetry - a more timely, less mentally-demanding alternative to lengthy prose.
These days, I am more likely to be found engaged in more socially-directed pursuits; but by night, every now and then, I steal back the pen for short whiles.
