About the Book
This body of work is essentially a photographic study in garbage. Inspired by the City of Toronto’s Municipal Worker’s Strike of 2009, Another Man's Gold is a series of encounters with an altruistic method of recycling. It particularly focuses on the unique nature of the presentation of this recycling on the properties in the neighbourhoods’ of The Annex and Little Italy in the city of Toronto, Canada between 2009 and 2010.

About the Creator
Spencer McCall
Saskatoon
My photography career began in 2000 when I was hired by the Ontario Government to photograph ecclesiastical buildings in North Glengarry County, Ontario, Canada. My endeavours in the medium have been anything but linear; a degree in English Literature at the University of Toronto and a decade working abroad in South Korea and Japan followed. I focus on the exploration of the built, urban environment, but also the people and landmarks that compose the unique landscapes of the places I live, work and wander. I currently live in Canada.
