About the Book
Following 13 years of combat operations, the presence of the British Armed Forces in Helmand Province finally came to an end on 27 October 2014. Those last days in Afghanistan drew extensive media coverage. However, this 84 page book presents a firsthand account and an alternative perspective from a serving soldier, previously unseen in any newspaper.
Everyone had their own way of passing the time during the 6 month deployment. For me, scribbling away in a sketch book was a satisfying way of filling the gaps between patrols.
Proceeds from the sale of this title will go to military charities: ABF, The Soldiers' Charity and Blesma, The Limbless Veterans.
