About the Book
Maia started reading when she was a baby at 12 months, had learnt phonics by 14 months and was reading chapter books before her 4th birthday. This collection of stories was handwritten and illustrated in Maia’s free time while in the autumn term of reception class when Maia was just 4 years 3-4 months. The book runs in reverse order of completion from the Christmas inspired adventures of "Lily And The Lion", to Halloween "Tricky Tricks", an autumn inspired first poem written for Daddy and some enchanting stories weaving sweet memories of the last days of summer with Maia's sense of humour, magic and adventure.
Profits will go to an education fund for Maia, piano lessons and a piano are first on her wish list. Profits will also go to her primary school who have recently lost 16 staff due to radical funding cuts which, the funding deficit will amount to an annual funding deficit of £200K by 2020. This shortfall in funding for all the children will mean the first things that would have to be cut would be the arts, music, drama, poetry, sport and all other enrichment that makes the world and Maia’s school such a special place, we would love your kind support.
Maia loves dancing, reading and writing stories for mummies, daddies and young children everywhere, hope you enjoy these as much as Maia has enjoyed writing them for you.
