elsewhere is a journey to the land that once was, the place that lives in our imagination. Archaeology of the future is the archaeology of the image and its genealogy, of looking deep into images in search of their hidden realities.

Elsewhere is a collage of black and white photochromes from 19th century historic Palestine, with a selection of images from Syria and Lebanon that were colored in the distant past to give them a sense of reality. I collaged them, recreating the feeling of the place as if one traveled through a time machine, and was suddenly present.
