About the Book
Beachcomber is a collection of new poems from Jacquelyn Nicholson, and she has combined poetry and photography into one which creates the simple pleasures of beach life.
In Beachcomber, Poetry through Photography, Jacquelyn captures the raw essence and relatable memories. Through her photography, she allows us to see the wild beauty of nature: A pretty dress; a mermaid's purse; stormy seas, and the rocky shoreline.
Jacquelyn has been writing poetry from a young age. Her first poem, through a classroom project in 1978 and published in a local magazine titled Opinions. Her style has devolved over the years into what we read today.
What a shock
out of breath.
Staring in
bewilderment.
Where did
the water
go?

About the Creator
A lifelong poet whose journey began with a classroom project in 1978 and a first publication in Opinions magazine, Jacquelyn’s voice has grown ever more resonant over decades of reflection. Offering readers a variety of books, from history, Australiana & poetry. Her style has evolved over the years into what we read today. In the shadows of silence, among the scribbled letters. Most will dance around my errors, where words twist like vines. Their eyes adverted, whispering sweet lies, like autumn leaves, colorful but silent. Afraid to untangle the knots I weave, like moths fluttering close to the flame. Yet, a true friend, willing to stand by my side, like a lighthouse in the fog. Gently pointing at the wayward letters, and tracing the misspelled echoes, of my thoughts. Each correction like a sweet balm, not to scold me, but to gift clarity. Reminding me that love is found, in the spaces between the lines. Jacquelyn's favorite past times is Poetry & Storm chasing, sunsets & beyond.
