About the Creator
Rich Edwards’ award-winning photography has been published in books, magazines, newspapers, calendars and brochures, and his limited edition prints have been collected and exhibited nationwide. A longtime resident of the San Francisco Bay Area, he travels extensively worldwide, seeking to capture with light portraits of people and places that are 180 degrees from ordinary. Rich began making his own photographs in the darkroom in 1960 and has been creating images in his digital “lightroom” since 2001. He received the Fuji Masterpiece Award for his family portrait Unchained Spirit. Six of his photographs have been accepted into the National Collection of the Professional Photographers of America; one was published in the PPA Showcase 2000 book. For the past decade he published the monthly fine art photography newsletter Get Visually Stimulated! Rich is a past executive director of The Friends of Photography and The Ansel Adams Center for Photography in San Francisco.
