    About the Ebook

The MG Airline Coupe successfully carries off the honours as the best looking

small coupe ever built.” Rich Taylor, managing editor, Car and Driver magazine, 1973.

The first Airline Coupe body designed for an MG was placed on Chassis PA0286 (registration MG 3528) on 9th February 1934. MG retained the PA Airline Coupe as a demonstrator.

MG Airline Coupes were produced in very small numbers from 1934 to 1936 and less than half the total production survives today.

The design came from the drawing board of Henry William Allingham. An important, but now largely forgotten, name in the history of the British motor

    industry.
