About the Book
A collection of poems by Alan Brough, put together by his family in the book he never got the chance to create or finish.
A mixture of poems about the Penrith area, local people, friends, animals and poems about life in general. Also included in the book are the comical Cumberland Tom postcards.
It was always his intention to put together a book of 100 poems and also to write his life story, which he was going to call THE PRICE OF A LION. The loss of his lions hurt him so much that he could never bring himself to create a poem about them. The loss of his horses hurt him so much that we have to go on without him.
All profits made from the sale of this book will go entirely towards the upkeep of his beloved horses.
