About the Creator
Having been confronted with enormous challenges in war and disaster settings, Andrew MacLeod has proved to be a highly accomplished leader who has catalysed and mobilised multi-faceted teams in difficult and diverse circumstances. Working with partners at both the elite and grass roots levels, MacLeod has led teams that applied innovative commercial, humanitarian and social approaches to highly complex problem solving and achieved clear, measurable results. MacLeod initially worked as a Marine Litigation Attorney in Melbourne, Sydney and London before being recruited by the International Committee of the Red Cross to deal with military factions in Yugoslavia and Rwanda. He moved to the United Nations and ran high level humanitarian teams under great pressure to deliver results in the most arduous of circumstances, crossing cultures, borders and front lines of battle. He ran the early warning for UNHCR and then moved on to several disaster settings, including Pakistan and Philippines.
