About the Book
Facsimile reprint edition of a limited edition 1987 artist book by noted Northwest sculptor Lee Kelly. The book traces the history of garden design in a variety of cultures, and ends with proposals for the integration of sculpture with landscape architecture and garden design. Kelly's daughter, Kassandra Kelly, contributes an introduction relating the book to the specific locale of Kelly's home and studio, the converted dairy farm, Leland Iron Works. Randal Davis looks at the project from the standpoint of Kelly's lifelong involvement with architecture and the landscape.
