About the Creator
Piet Meijs AIA, is the Associate Partner at Rietveld Architects New York. He is a Registered Architect in the State of New York and is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Piet is involved in all the projects of the office. His experience ranges from large urban master-plans to office buildings to residential buildings to high-end interior renovations. Besides the architectural work Piet is instrumental in introducing new technology into the office. Examples are Virtual Reality, 3D Point Clouds, Paper-less office and Rapid Protyping aka 3D Printing. In 2008 Piet was leading the team to bring Rapid Prototyping into the office. In Q2 of 2008 Rietveld Architects acquired an Objet Eden 350 3D Printer as one of the first architectural offices in the world. Piet worked with his team to develop a workflow that interfaced between the architectural design software and the newly acquired hardware.
