I have been shooting professionally since '91 but I had an 8 year break while I recovered from being struck head on by a sleeping driver, while riding my motorcycle. The incident left me as a below knee amputee and certainly changed my perspective towards my photography. As a Native person my Spirituality plays a large part in my life and my work, and I drew on the lessons learned from Vision Quests and the Sweatlodge... The human element became more important to me because my world shrunk in terms of mobility, so I took notice of the things near to me and the human spirit certainly opened up to me.
I am soon to be living in S.E. Asia for an extended period and look forward to producing more imagery from that area of our planet...
