I have been a photographer for over 40 years. I started out photographing weddings, portraits, and model portfolios, but in the past five years or so I have turned my attention primarily to landscapes. I find that this genre offers a contemplative aspect which blends well with my love of nature and solitude. To see the created world as if for the first time, with no preconceived notions, that is what I strive for whenever I am outdoors with my cameras. I live in the Pacific Northwest, and spend much of my free time hiking and photographing in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area.
