About
Author Bio: Michael “Farmer Mike” Isham is a tenth generation Vermonter who has spent his life working, restoring, and stewarding the Isham Family Farm in Williston, Vermont. He grew up among the cows, hayfields, stone walls, and the kind of neighbors who knew your business before you did. Over the years he has been a farmer, a sugar maker, a barn restorer, a storyteller, and the keeper of more local history than he ever meant to collect.
His writing comes straight from the land he works—plainspoken, honest, and full of the humor, grit, and small moments that make up real farm life. Whether he’s talking about woodchucks, weddings, old barns, or the characters who shaped the place, his stories carry the rhythm of Vermont in every line.
Michael still lives on the family farm with his wife, Helen, where he continues to restore old buildings, plant trees, make maple syrup, and gather the stories that keep the past alive.
