About

After graduating from Academy of Art, San Francisco 1988, I returned to my hometown of Los Angeles. This led to a job co-creating graphics and cover design for Tom Petty’s ‘Great Wide Open’ tour book. Neighbors included fashion designer Richard Tyler, and the emerging company 'Lucky Brand’. This creatively energized atmosphere inspired me to continue working with textiles in my paintings and sculptures.
Combining language, collage and mixed media help complete the deeper atmosphere of my art. My core belief is art engages in making one think, creating a safer space to explore ideas differently. Art examines thoughts, feelings and the visual world in ways the viewer may not have imaged. My Artwork reflects on our social fabric, our tapestry of life and experience. Contemplation, commentary and revealing prevalent issues are the foundation of my work.
