"I am now anchored to this landscape. In this geography I am sustained and connected hand-by-hand to those who have cared for this land long before I arrived. It is a simple gift of relationship. Like Betsy I have found a place where I belong. She has reminded me that I am connected to the land intimately through other people. Without their stories my own stories lose context. Without human connections I am always a visitor who is never at home."
