America was Good to Me is the story of a refugee from Naziism whom America took in, who grew up to be a successful linguist. I recount the adventures, escapades, and achievements of my times in an informative and yet amusing way, I don't mince my words: I depict the world and people honestly, as I apprehended them, not whitewashing my flaws nor the racism and
anti-Semitism of the community that offered me a new home and that presented me and my family with challenges that impacted the kind of person that I grew up to be.
