Tim Timmons served over 21 years in the United States Army before retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2013. In June 2005 he began flight training in Newport News, Virginia and in January 2006 he received his private pilot certificate from the FAA. Tim went on to earn his ATP multi-engine pilot and flight instructor certificates, instrument rating, as well as seaplane and glider private pilot licenses. His endorsements include tailwheel, complex, high performance and high-altitude. In 2013 he earned a Masters Degree in Aerospace Operations from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Tim has also been an active member of his community serving as a Mission and Check Pilot in the Arizona Wing of the United States Air Force Auxiliary (Civil Air Patrol) and as AOPA's Airport Support Network representative for Tombstone Airport (P29), Tombstone, Arizona. In 2012 he was named Fort Huachuca's Military Volunteer of the Year. Tim resides in Anthem, Arizona with his wife and two children.
