It’s time to let the light in.
“The Light Through the Vines uncovers the simple truths of coming of age -- heartbreak, hope, identity and connection. Deep in thought and enamored with introspection, Miranda Hendricks represents the breakthrough of life and its most cherished and sticking moments with each line. For a moment, you’re a spectator dwelling between grace and growing pains, hardship and resilience, intimacy and valor. It’s a beautiful thing to experience someone else’s vulnerability when it so effortlessly coexists with your own. With a stream of consciousness and a string of words laced together, The Light Through the Vines captures the essence of what it’s like to feel empathy, admiration and the human connection.”
Jade Abdul-Malik, Multi-Platform Producer at Georgia Public Broadcasting
“Miranda’s poetry is suffused with love — love of nature, love of family and friends, love of God, and romantic love. Whether contemplating the wonders of the universe or the mysteries of the human heart, the poems in The Light Through The Vines are beautiful, tender and hopeful.”
