for me, sexual orientation has always been an interesting concept. from my experience it seems everyone has an adventurous sexual side, whether it is worn on their sleeve or kept in the closet. i often see people as a sort of fun house, with different sides and surprising twists. some things in a fun house are hidden and others more direct. the images in this book allude to this idea with their disorienting puzzled together compositions. the different panels are meant to represent the many sides that make up a single person. sexuality is an abstract concept, there are blurred lines and these lines are forever changing. i believe that everyone secretly likes to play dress up and try on a new attitude or take a stroll in someone else's shoes. the following images show my interest in the playfulness of sexuality, shown through a young gay man transitioning into a drag queen. the quote above and artist david hilliard greatly influenced this body of work. so please as you look at these images think and question. you may find yourself finding some truth in the images or maybe even in yourself.
