Phuong's work explores the beauty of discarded materials and finds ways to elevate them to the next level. She believes that everything has its own beauty, and thus, she wants to uncover the potential and hidden value of what would otherwise be perceived as trash. Within the space of the studio, she tries to build another dimension that is different from the one we live in. In that world, various kinds of materials can have their second lives. After the re-construction, her goal is for them to be reborn into new forms of art. She uses mirrors and reflections as doorways to the new world where the imagination speaks. Her photography is a mixture of real and surreal, a dream riddled with reality.
