About the Book
Butterflies That Know Gravity is a collection of poems, essays and photos that is easy to slip into and hard to put down.
Isabel Stramwasser writes about everyday experience in a style that is clear and direct, authentic and disarming.
At times playful and at times serious, the writing is always fearless, honest and vulnerable.
"A cold wind
Rustles
Through red
Yellow
Orange
Green
And leaves fall gently
In the autumn sun
Spiraling
Swaying
Scintillating
Like butterflies that know gravity
Like fall that knows the winter’s come"
