About the Book
They need words to name their feelings. Helping children identify and express their feelings in a positive manner is important for their social and emotional learning. A good vocabulary helps develop empathy and allows them to become flexible, yet strong in their life.
Danny Talk uses colorful, expressive images of an endearing small dog that go along with simple sentences to help children connect the word and the emotion. Children will learn valuable words to help them open an insightful discussion about what’s going on in a their life with parents, teachers and caregivers.

Tony Hertz has over 35 years of professional photography experience. After graduating from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo he worked for the local Tribune newspaper as a staff photographer for over 10 years. He's been recognized with top awards for his landscape photographs in the Sony World Photography Awards, International Photography Awards, PX3 (France), Camera USA, Black and White Spider and many more. His work has been published widely, including Outdoor Photographer Magazine. Silvershotz and Black and White Magazines. Tony works with major industrial and advertising clients. He divides his time shooting in the field, editing images and working as an adjunct photography instructor teaching traditional darkroom and digital photography in the Cuesta College Fine Arts Department in San Luis Obispo, California.
