Flora is a magazine publication celebrating identity through fashion.
Since editorial photography is made to feel unattainable, it was important that I created this publication and exhibition with the resources in my community. The styling in Flora was created outside of the scrutiny of the fashion industry, with each model able to freely express their own individuality and femininity without the constraints of patriarchal demands. By providing an outlet of free expression, Flora finds joy and pleasure in the feminine as a way of rebellion and reclaiming one’s femininity outside of the male gaze.
