      About the Book

      Edit

Darri simply said, “Alvild, our beloved Magical Linden Tree Fairy needs our help. Her sister, Tilly the Sea Shore Fairy to the north is missing. I have spoken to your parents about sending you two on a journey to the north shore to find out what has happened to Tilly. Alvild is greatly distressed as her sister did not attend the yearly gathering of the fairies and elves at the last full moon. Only a disaster or death would be reason enough not to attend this gathering. Alvild has used her own powers to find Tilly, but her efforts have resulted in further frustration and worry. She approached me one morning and together we developed a plan. Our plan includes a journey to the North Sea shore by you two.”

The author, along with his wife Lynn, embarked on an Army career that lasted over 25 years. It brought them to many different duty stations in the United States and overseas as well. In 2020, the author, his wife, and their children moved one more time to a place near Wolcott, close to his childhood home. It is from this quiet setting the author began working on his lifelong dream of writing stories to entertain people of all generations. The author found the inspiration to write about Denmark from his mother. She was born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark. His parents met in Copenhagen in the 1950s while his father was on a weekend pass while serving with the U.S. Army in Germany. They settled near the ancestral home in upstate New York where the author's family still lives today.
