About the Book
I'm an italian journalist, filmaker and artist. Since 1985 I have travelled trough Finland, mostly in the arctic taiga. I've started to do watecolours about 10 years ago observing wildlife around my house, very near Kitkajoki, one of the biggest lakes (187,ooo in total) in Filnand. My favorite subjects are wooper swans, capercaillies, black woodpeckers, tits, siberian jays, but also mooses, hares and bears. The only possibility to be close to bears is stayng in a hide for the day long, even at night. But the result is exellent. There are places along the eastern border with Russia (an area of 300 km ) where is possibile to get close to even 10 to 20 bears in a day. So this is my paradise and this is the place where I'm also looking at the Northern Lights, Revontulet in Suomi, from my windows.
