      About the Book

      Edit

Severe abandonment issues dominated Kathy's childhood, adolescent, and even adult relationships and experiences. She was pregnant at sixteen, with four children by the time she turned twenty-four years of age. Kathy lost a six-year-old child and then a ten-year-old, three months apart, before her thirty-second birthday. Her second child, ill from the age of six, didn’t die until he was forty-three.

But in the meantime, Kathy travelled the world, visiting over thirty countries. Eventually, she moved to Tanzania in East Africa, and created a (photography) safari company there. For six years she was the administrator, marketing director, chief financial officer, travel agent, and driver of the safari-modified truck – the only woman in the world fulfilling such a role at that time.

The following stories are only the tip of an iceberg – a glacial mass that yearns to confront, to challenge, to learn, and ultimately, to heal..
