About the Book
2023
. . . . . . .
For Charles-Édouard Jeanneret-Gris
aka Le Corbusier
Architect Painter Writer
Author of Toward an Architecture
1923
THE GENIUS OF LE CORBUSIER inspired me as a student at Princeton University to likewise become an architect, painter, and writer.
(And change my name―more than once!)
Through all my creative endeavors, I passionately explore the architecture of art and life, two sides of the same coin.
"Architecture is a story told through a building," as I proclaimed in my book Visual E9ects. And I dream of someday building Daedalus 9, my one or two "story" AI house. But I also dream of creating a masterwork of story architecture through the sorcery of screenwriting, and I just milestoned my perilous quest by hammering out the story ZERO, co-conjuring the story The Alchemist and the Sun, and releasing my experimental AI sci-fi graphic novel, Call Me Daedalus―prelude to a feature titled Where.
Above all, I seek to dazzle through the magic of art, simultaneously aesthetic and symbolic, resonating with a paranormal blend of originality and archetypal power. I strive to create work that evokes emotion, heralds brave creativity, and leaves a lasting impact on my audience. Just like Le Corbusier 100 years ago in Toward an Architecture, the epic prequel to my modest tribute.
But stay tuned.
Later this year, I'll publish a more elaborate follow-up homage, titled―
DISTURBANCE: Toward an Architecture ZI | The World Will Never Be The Same.

About the Creator
"THE ARTIST DEFAMILIARIZES THE WORLD—MAKES IT STRANGE—AND WAKES US UP." —JEF7REY HILDNER, DISTURBANCE Jef7rey Hildner is an award-winning architect, painter, and writer. Through all his creative endeavors, including 11 books, he passionately explores the architecture of art and life. You can discover his unique buildings, paintings, books, essays, and screenplays in many venues, from online platforms like IMDb, Coverfly, and Internet Archive to print platforms like Journal of Architectural Education and Global Architecture Houses. He sometimes paints as Henry Trucks and writes as Michelangelo A. Roland Slate, aka M.A.R.S. Like the first architects―oracles, seers, astronomer-priests―Jef7rey quests to grok the Architecture of the Form & Story of Reality. And give artistic expression to his vision. He draws inspiration from the ancient Greek myth about the protagonist Joseph Campbell called "the hero of the way of thought"―the architect of the Labyrinth and Wings: Daedalus.
