    About the Book

    Edit

Before the skies were green with lunar forests, and before the great silver discs of the Zeta Reticuli danced in our atmosphere, there was a time of iron and smoke. In those days, humanity lived like flickering candles—bright, brief, and terrified of the dark. We believed we were alone, drifting on a small blue marble in an indifferent sea of stars.
We did not know that a titan walked among us.
He arrived in a streak of fire when the Roman legions still marched on dust. He was a traveler from a paradise we couldn't yet imagine, a pilot of an obsidian ship that the earth itself rose up to swallow and hide. For two thousand years, he waited. He was the history teacher who knew too much; the stranger who caught the falling cup before it hit the floor; the man who watched his beloveds turn to dust while he remained as constant as the North Star.
He was Rich, the First Architect.
His story truly began not with a bang, but with a boy named Orion, who reached for a box of cereal and forgot how to touch the ground. It was the moment a father’s secret became a son’s inheritance. It was the day the Amber Pulse began to beat in the veins of a new kind of family.
Through sacrifice and starlight, they rewrote our destiny. They turned a dying stepson into a soaring guardian. They wove ancient nanites into the heart of a mortal woman to make her a weaver of time itself. They didn't conquer us; they groomed us. They whispered the math of the sun into the ears of our dreamers and taught us that the only thing more infinite than the universe was the capacity for a family to stay together.
Now, as we look up from our gardens on the Moon and our embassies in the Cygnus Reach, we remember the man who woke too early from his long sleep. We remember the boy who floated.
